In January 2026, KiiiKiii's "404 (New Era)" topped Billboard's staff picks for the best K-pop songs of 2026 so far. The lead single from their second EP Delulu Pack debuted at number one on Melon's HOT100 and Bugs' real-time chart, and simultaneously led Spotify Korea, YouTube Music Korea, Genie, FLO, and VIBE — a full-platform sweep that is uncommon for a group less than a year into their career. In mid-August, approximately seven months after that release, KiiiKiii will return with their third EP, WhyKiiiKiii.

The international data from Delulu Pack established that the group's audience extends beyond Korea. The album entered iTunes K-pop charts in 19 countries and regions. "404 (New Era)" spent eight consecutive weeks on Billboard's Global Excl. U.S. chart, made the group's first appearance on the Billboard Global 200, and charted on Billboard Japan, Oricon, and QQ Music. Starship Entertainment has described the new album as music that will "showcase something fresh while staying true to KiiiKiii's unique identity."

The physical sales picture, however, requires context. Their debut EP Uncut Gem recorded first-week Hanteo sales of 206,712 copies — a figure that drew scrutiny at the time, with observers noting the unusually high number for a newly debuted group and questioning how much of it reflected genuine fan base formation versus promotional purchasing. Delulu Pack followed with 41,125 first-week copies, a drop of roughly 80 percent. Whether that figure reflects a corrected baseline or ongoing momentum loss is the central question WhyKiiiKiii will begin to answer. The August comeback window adds further complexity: Red Velvet, Stray Kids, and ENHYPEN are among the acts returning in the same period, compressing the available streaming and sales attention across multiple releases simultaneously.

WhyKiiiKiii is a summer travel concept built around a playful riff on the Hawaiian place name Waikiki, comprising six tracks.
