CORTIS has reached another major milestone in its rapid rise, becoming the fastest K-pop group to surpass 15 million followers on Instagram.

According to BIGHIT MUSIC on Saturday, August 8 KST, the group's official Instagram account crossed the 15 million mark on August 5, roughly one year after the account was first launched in August 2025.

The achievement highlights the group's growing global fanbase and its ability to build a strong online presence in a relatively short period.

The milestone is particularly notable because CORTIS is currently the only K-pop group that debuted within the past five years to have surpassed 15 million Instagram followers.

CORTIS has been nominated for "Best New Artist" at the 2026 MTV VMAs. As of the September 27 live ceremony, will CORTIS win this award?

CORTIS Dominates Social Media Across Multiple Platforms

The group's momentum is not limited to Instagram. CORTIS has also built a sizable following on other major social media platforms.

As of 10 am KST on August 8, the group had accumulated 15.82 million followers on TikTok and 6.24 million subscribers on YouTube. According to BIGHIT MUSIC, those figures are the highest among K-pop boy groups that debuted within the past five years.

The numbers underline how quickly CORTIS has established itself among younger global audiences, with its content reaching fans across several digital platforms rather than relying solely on traditional music promotions

Lollapalooza Appearance Fuels Another Surge

CORTIS' social media growth received another boost following its appearance at Lollapalooza Chicago on August 1 local time.

The group performed in front of an estimated 50,000 festivalgoers, and videos from the performance quickly circulated across social media. Clips showcasing CORTIS performing live helped introduce the group to a wider international audience and contributed to another noticeable increase in its follower count.

The festival appearance also gave the relatively young group an opportunity to demonstrate its performance skills to an audience beyond the K-pop community.

CORTIS is also maintaining its momentum on streaming platforms.

'REDRED', the title track from the group's second mini album, ranked No. 189 on Spotify's latest Weekly Top Songs Global chart for the tracking period from July 31 through August 6. The song has now remained on the chart for 15 consecutive weeks.

With its social media numbers continuing to climb alongside its streaming performance, the group is increasingly making an impact beyond its home market.

CORTIS Continues to Expand its Global Tour Schedule

CORTIS is currently in the middle of its 2026 CORTIS TOUR 'PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN' in North America. The tour includes six cities, including Atlanta and Los Angeles, and is scheduled to continue through August 16.

After completing its North American dates, the group will return to Korea for concerts at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium on August 22 and 23.

CORTIS will then head to Japan for three performances at Pia Arena MM in Kanagawa from September 4 to 6. Its growing international schedule will also include appearances at ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2026 on September 20 and the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix on October 9.

With major festival appearances, an expanding tour schedule and record-breaking social media growth happening at the same time, CORTIS' rapid rise shows little sign of slowing down.
