DESERT DEALINGS: The lineup for the 2027 edition of AEG/Goldenvoice’s Coachella will materialize in the next few weeks, and when it does, sources say to expect surging Australian rock outfit Tame Impala (booked by CAA) and global pop star Dua Lipa (CAA) as headliners, plus dance darling Fred again.. (THE•TEAM) in the special “EDM giant at the bottom of the poster” slot. Scheduled for April 9-11 and 16-18 at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, the event went clean in May with its initial advance sale.
Tame Impala/Kevin Parker, managed by Spinning Top’s Jodie Regan and Good World’s Brandon Creed, just wrapped the hugely successful North American leg of the AEG-promoted Deadbeat tour and has reached new levels of mainstream visibility in the past nine months thanks to the worldwide smash hits “Dracula,” featuring JENNIE, and “Loser,” which is enjoying a big bounce from Spider Man: Brave New World and currently resides at #5 on Spotify global. Paul Tollett and team have long championed Tame Impala; the act headlined Coachella in 2019 and otherwise appeared in 2011, 2013 and 2015.
Dua has never done a full solo set at the event but guested with Martin Garrix back in 2017. Insiders report that her CAA team has been in talks with Coachella for some time about a booking, but that until recently, festival reps had passed.
Goldenvoice is said to be hot and heavy for a deal with Korean pop sensation BTS, which begins a four-night run Sept. 1 at L.A.’s SoFi Stadium. Miley (formerly Miley Cyrus) was in demand for a headlining slot, but word is she’s turned it down. She will release her Atlantic debut, Bass Persuades, Sept. 18 and play the Hollywood Bowl Oct. 16 and 18. Could she also participate in what’s sure to be a star-studded Dolly Parton tribute at the Grammys? If anyone could convince her (aside from her mom, Tish Cyrus-Purcell),it’d be artist whisperer Ben Winston.
THE•TEAM’s SZA, Oasis and Radiohead (CAA) are also being mulled over for major placement on the Coachella admat. We’re told the former is way more likely than the latter two.
GLASTONBURY BRITANNICA: Across the pond, Coachella’s only rival in size and prominence is Glastonbury, which returns June 23-27 after a year off to allow the land to recover. Harry Styles (CAA) and Robbie Williams (WME) are rumored to be headlining next year’s edition, which will once again be held at Worthy Farm, in Pilton, Somerset, England.
Glastonbury organizer Emily Eavis has yet to confirm any acts, though she did reveal that Madonna isn’t one of them. Oasis is being chased as the third headliner, which would make it an all-British affair, but the Gallagher brothers may opt for a return to Knebworth, where they headlined in front of 250k fans in 1996.
Meanwhile, Full Stop’s Styles, who just began an epic, 30-date Madison Square Garden residency, is said to be prepping for a stadium trek in the U.S. in 2027. MSG may be the only arena Styles plays on his Together, Together tour—making the smaller venues’ comparatively intimate settings all the more special. Observers are raving that the Garden shows have been spectacular right out of the gate.
GARDEN BLOOMS: Rumors are swirling that Soundgarden will embark next year on its first tour since frontman Chris Cornell's suicide in 2017, seemingly improbable given the long history of rancor among surviving band members Matt Cameron, Kim Thayil and Ben Shepherd and Cornell's widow, Vicky. However, a 2023 settlement paved the way for the musicians to finish the songs for which Cornell had already recorded vocals. The group did reunite with guest singers Brandi Carlile and The Pretty Reckless' Taylor Momsen for its 2025 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Though there’s no consensus on who would sing, Soundgarden's hometown Seattle halftime performance with Momsen (and special guest Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready) at the Sept. 9 NFL season opener between the Seahawks and New England Patriots might serve as a preview for any 2027 dates. The band is managed by Red Light.

He’s booked by CAA’s Ferry Rais-Shaghaghi… Full Stop’s Jeffrey Azoff and Adam Harrison have signed Q-Tip and A Tribe Called Quest, which hasn’t played live since 2017 and whose founding member Phife Dawg died the year before… UTA has signed Meghan Trainor, who scrapped a two-month summer tour to focus on family.
